Castle's Failing Memory

Congressman Castle continues to insist he puts "people before politics" and says he has the people's interests at heart these days. He forgets his support of the Military Commissions Act relieving the people of the right of habeus corpus. He ignores his support of the No Child Left Behind Act condemned by most educators and leading to a decline in the actual teaching of our children. He ignores his steadfast support of the Bush administration with more than 80% of votes overall with the administration and more than 90% with the administration on the war and on economic issues.

The time has come for a new direction in Delaware and the nation. We, the people, can ill afford the kind of support offered by Congressman Castle and the Bush administration.

Peace.

In November we have the chance to move Delaware in a new direction by voting Mike Castle out of office. We need real support from a Congressman who cares of, for, and about the people for a change.

Peace.

Jerry,

I do not think a "new direction" is the best way to describe where we should be going.

We've been on a "new direction" for the past 8 years.

It's not a matter of going in a "new direction" , there is certainly nothing "new" about habeus corpus.

It's a matter of getting BACK to where we belong,

BACK to habeus corpus, and

away from military commissions (drumhead trials) and
BACK to trial by jury,

away from FISA, "extraordinary rendition", water boarding, and

BACK to the 4th amendment, Geneva conventions, and the rule of law in general.

Most of all, BACKING the family car out of the neighbor's front living room, because junior stole it and drove it accordingly.

Chris,

We have been going the wrong direction the last eight years. A new direction heads us in the ways you suggest--back to Constitutional government and back to human rights for one and all.

Peace, Jerry
